If you've got an HTC G1 Android phone, our 1337pwn.com XBOX Live Friends application is now available in the Android Market! Â We built it to take advantage of unique Platform features. Â As a result, it's a stand out even compared to our iPhone/iPod Touch Apps.
- Built from the ground up to take advantage of the Android platform and devices
- Full gamertag details including online status, profile, play history, and avatars
- Runs in the background to keep your list up to date and generate...
- Notifications let you know when your friends come online !!!
Yes, our XBOX Live Friends List on Android will generate notifications even when you're not in the application. Â It's a killer feature that will give G1 owners bragging rights over their iPhone/iPod Touch counterparts.
If you have one of these great devices, head on over to the Android Market and check it out.
1. Friends List Main Screen

2. Gamer Detail Screen

3. Notification Example

We hope that you enjoy the application. Â We're already working to make it even better.
Thank you all for your feedback/support and...
don't pwn alone.

Congrats on your first Android App, team!
I've been awaiting it's release for a while, and I just have gotten the chance to download it a few minutes ago. I absolutely love it! I'ts very good looking, and extremely functional and useful - with all the gamer details you're able to provide.
Since it's 3:30am where I am - and most of my Live friends are local - they are all offline, so I haven't had a chance to check out how the notifications work - but I'm sure they work as expected.
I know you didn't ask for input - but I'm gonna give it anyway. I've been using your android-optimized Live web-app since day one, and I liked it pretty well. My only 2 complaints on it were: 1) Web-based (duh), and 2) having to enter my friends gamertags one-by-one. I was a bit sad to find out that I had to do this as well with the native Android app. Not a huge deal, as I add/remove friends very rarely... but it'd be nice to just put in my login info and let it get my list from the Live service automatically.
I'm assuming there is some limitation that held you guys back from being able to do that - I'm not dedicated enough to apply for a Live dev api in order to see what all it would take, either... I just thought I'd share my opinion.
As I mentioned, I haven't been able to experience the notifications yet.
But anyway - I don't want to sound like I'm complaining - because I absolutely am not... I'm in love and this app is WAYYY up on my list of favorite apps available... Up there with Locale (for it's functionality), and The Schwartz Unsheathed (for it's geek factor and entertainment value). So thank you, team, for an amazing app - and a free one, at that!
P.S.
Congrats on the high rating in the market. I browsed some of the comments, and I was shocked to not see the immature users complaining that it wasn't Adobe's Flash for the G1 or something similar... I'm sure, if you have a G1, you've seen the stupid Market comments I'm referring to...
So anyway - congrats on everything, and thanks again!

Yes, notification preferences are coming in an update. Â Filters are possible as well. Â It's part of what should be a nice 1.1 release. Â Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for your work, I enjoy this app. I'm looking forward to the update with notification preferences because sometimes my wife gets aggitated hearing my notifications going off so often! She thinks I have hundreds of girlfriends texting me all day.Â
Any chance there will be an EXIT option? Or maybe even the ability to import a list of gamertags? It'd be great to just logon to my XBL account on my PC, copy and paste my friends list into notepad, and then import that list of names to your app.
Thanks again for all you do!

I would just like to note how nice this app is. The only issue I had was when switching from landscape to portrait and vice-versa; happens when I slide to use the keyboard. It seems the orientation is stuck sometimes.

You guys have the beginings of a great app. I wish there was a way to establish your gamer account as the primary one, and not only be abe to send messgaes, but recieve them as well. Also wish for a way to set alerts to vibrate and/or assign alerts to a specific ringtone. I look forward to the next update, hopefully with an import button and a faster refersh rate. Thanks in advance.
